The HKFI Elite Talent Development (ETD) Pilot Programme has launched in April this year, and it’s exciting that the first gathering was successfully held on 19 November 2021 for the mentees and mentors to meet up. At the event, HKFI Immediate Past Chairman Mr Eric Hui shared with the mentees on career prospects in the insurance industry, followed by the group discussion session for all mentors and mentees to exchange ideas and experience. The Second Cohort of ETD Programme has been kicked-off in April 2022. A briefing session and lunch gathering was held on 22 June 2022. In the briefing session, HKFI Chief Executive Ms Selina Lau shared with the young executives on the role of HKFI and aspired the young executives to broaden their horizon through the Programme. 

It was followed by a lunch gathering to connect all mentees and mentors of both the first and second cohort of the ETD Programme. The event also celebrated the successful completion of the inaugural ETDP. Check out the pictures here!

The Hon K P Chan met and shared his experience with the mentees in two separate engagement sessions at the Legco Complex on 27 October and 9 November.

Mr Chan not only took time from his busy schedule to share the insights and further development and strategy of insurance industry, but also gave them a tour of the Legco Complex. Such interactive and personal engagement beats all classroom training. Check out the pictures here!

Apart from individual coaching by mentors, a briefing session and mentor-mentee gathering were held to further assist the mentees in widening horizon for personal and career development.

The Elite Talent Development Programme (ETDP) has reached another milestone.

On 28 June 2023, we celebrated the completion of the second cohort of the programme and welcomed the mentees of the third cohort at a vibrant gathering. The ETDP has been designed to identify and nurture exceptional talent, providing them with the guidance and resources they need to reach their full potential. This year, 25 mentees from 18 Member Companies were selected to be paired up with 12 exceptional veteran mentors. We are exceedingly pleased to see these young executives with diverse background and expertise came together and aspired to broaden their horizons through learning from the forerunners. Congratulations to them for being selected to this prestigious programme and a sincere vote of thanks to the mentors for generously devoting their time and efforts in grooming the next generation of insurance professionals.

An interactive briefing session and gathering was held on 23 February 2024 to foster connections between mentors, mentees, and the HKFI Chairman, Ms. Orchis Li. The event was characterised by an uplifting atmosphere that facilitated dynamic discussions, fruitful exchanges of knowledge, and the sharing of valuable experiences between mentors and mentees.
